Born in Athens , Themis Xydias , studied Economics at the Universities of Athens and Bristol . Despite his long , succesful career in multinational companies in Greece and abroad ( his last position was Managing Director of L OREAL P&B HELLAS SA ) , the great love he had for painting from his youth , it never faded ... So in 2008 he changes his path and leaves for Paris , where he studies in the School of Fine Arts (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts) with teachers as Gilles MARREY ,Jean-Marc THOMMEN , Antoine BENARD-NIORE and Fabienne OUDART.
After an intensive course of studies , he returns in Greece , and since then he is devoted to his only true passion , the painting .
The subjects of his paintings are all "anthropocentric" , based on memories of his travels , sometimes "portraits" and sometimes "street scenes" , many of them with a social concern.
He held one solo Exhibition (" Art Zone 42 " , April 2013 ) and he participated in one group Exhibition
