To deal with the fact that there is a HLS, the department decided, within the framework of the Strategy for a Healthy Lifestyle of the Population, Control and Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases until 2025, which is now working. One of its authors, the main freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health in preventive medicine, Sergei Boytsov, and introduced four "whales."

 

1. Refusal to smoke . Here, in general, everything is very clear: this is not at all what a person needs, who expects to live in relative health. Under the norm of healthy lifestyle it is not a restriction, but a complete and unconditional refusal without compromises.

2. At least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. It's not about sports and not about a subscription to a fitness club. Any load is considered important if its intensity is high enough or even moderate. For example, running (if possible), biking or brisk walking. Walking, by the way, doctors consider the optimal type of activity.

3. A maximum of 5 grams of salt per day. This amount is considered the limit of the World Health Organization. Claims for salt are that it affects the level of blood pressure and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, which in turn is still the No. 1 cause of death in the world. In Russia, its level, according to the text of the Strategy, is 2-3 times higher than in Western Europe. By the way, a maximum of 5 g is not a dosal of ready meals, but in general all the salt in products per day. To put it mildly, it is sparse.

4. At least 400 grams of vegetables and fruits throughout the day. These are international recommendations, in particular the amount determined by WHO. 400 g (minimum!) Is supposed to be divided into 5 portions. In reality, not so much as it seems: 1 serving is, for example, a handful of salad, or 1 apple, or banana, 1 tomato or half a grapefruit. The choice of what exactly is, WHO leaves behind us, but the potato does not count.

From the song about the HLS words can not be erased: the way of life of a person who does not follow all the principles - for example, smokes - will not be considered healthy. Surprising, however, it seems that among the main principles was not named if not a complete refusal, then at least a restriction of alcohol. Still, ethanol is the same psychostimulant as nicotine, and on its "conscience" is no less a long list of serious diseases and risks.However, this role of alcohol is pretty much said in the very strategy of a healthy lifestyle.

There are no four principles outlined and refusal of any types of products - they decided not to divide into harmful and useful. On some, however, it is planned to specify separately as promoting obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and hypertension - without labeling. Apparently, in terms of what anyone wants - will understand.
