Oh well, I'm rather confused to say that I always post some stupid stuff here, at least now I have something to tell you about.
This weekend I've first been to the North Russian capital, as they call it, the St. Petersburg. As you know, it's named after Peter the great, who found it in 1703. Since then, the town had been developing.
As for me, it is absolutely wonderful. A lot of rivers, canals, boats, ships and ancient buildings that are under the protection of UNESCO at the moment.
( and always)
- No advertisement banners in the streeets. I was surprised to be able to gaze upon the buildings without noticing any of these stupid ads. Really nice, because in Moscow you just don't know where to look.
- The underfround! Rather likely to russian, but still differs. At many stations there are additional pairs of doors at the train, so that water can't rush into just in case. The light in the tram flashes once as you it's time to get off.
- There are few trees all along the town but they are cut in an intresting way.
By the way, all streets are very straight and you hardly can find any spaces between the buildings.
-People!
People are very friendly and will even wave to you as you travel around in a tourist boat, even if you don't wave back. They seem to not be in a hurry, and in general, the town looks as it has another pace of time in it.
Well.. I absolutely liked it. I'm looking forward to coming again, and, i seriously recommend that you visit Russia not for Moscow, but for this great town.
Thanx for reading!
