Abanico Chocolat is a French chocolate brand with unique packaging that (as a designer) reminds me a lot of a Pantone swatch guide. It's a pretty effective way to showcase slim ganache-filled pralines with their descriptive information in an organized way.

"Wondaree Macadamias is a family owned and run macadamia farm in North Queensland.

This project was done to recreate their product’s image in order to demonstrate their organic and personalised ethos whilst embodying an idiosyncratic aesthetic that was accessible to the blind.

 "Death By Chocolate is a corporate design and packaging concept for a non-existing chocolate label. It is my final year project in communication design at Folkwang University in Essen. The dbc products are divided into a candybar range, wrapped in a soft, matt foil and a more sophisticated range of chocolates. 

Both product ranges are finished with UV-Varnish and blind embossing. The aim was to create a unique packaging concept, that focuses on the myth of chocolate but transfers it into a modern, rock n roll kind of context."

Packaging for Original Beans Chocolate by the Department of Graphic Sciences:

"Original Beans creates some of the finest chocolates in the world with carefully selected rare beans and three-day conches, all the while practicing impressive efforts of sustainability. One bar plants one tree—each bar comes with a green ticket providing a url that tracks in real time where reforestation efforts are taking place. With all the foils, metallic inks and embossing you would never guess that this special box was produced in a facility that uses 100% wind power."

The holiday packaging begins! This project, the Askinosie Chocolate's Peppermint Bark Box, was designed and sent in by Kristina Sacci, a freelance designer in Hoboken NJ: "The design is wood-burned on. The chocolate bark is "hoof-crafted" in small batches and is ridiculously good!"

Our goal has been to help Muscadine Chocolates in its development, designing a new brand that shows its innovative proposal, flavours and reinforcing the hight quality of the used recipe of housemade chocolate and chocolate bars. Blake BW has worked to develop this Argentinian brand, creating the brand identity, positioning and different pieces of packaging, e-cards, product photography and website design and programming"

I stumbled across this simple yet iconic packaging in Switzerland, and although it looks quite Swiss, closer inspection led me to a Spanish company, Chocolate Organiko. They've got a really robust portfolio of chocolates with really graphic packaging execution. I really like the use of colour and tension within the typography.

TCHO is a San Francisco-based luxury chocolate manufacturer, whose origins come from the technology industry. The company name is a hybrid, created from a fusion of the words Technology + CHOcolate.

Check out this great chocolate packaging! That is some true packaging innovation right there. I just love how the box folds open to form a table. Somebody really though about this box for a long time. Take a look at an animation of it being unfolded after the jump!
