Despite its origin in antiquity, the term “chryselephantine” is most commonly used to refer to the Art Nouveau and Art Deco sculptures of the early twenties century, in which the blending of ivory and other materials, most often bronze, created a visual language that perfectly expressed the style of the times.

Не сказать, что я восторге от Прейса, очень он уж немец с их особым немецким кичем, но всё-таки что-то арт декошное присутствует. Нравится мне его крашеная бронза, к сожалению её то как раз и нет в картинках.
