The wide angle fisheye view shows the northern night sky seen from the edge of the Swabian Alb plateau in southern Germany. Cities below are Bisingen and Hechingen and in the foreground lies Hohenzollern Castle.

Can you find Polaris, the North-Star? Just start the movie! Polaris is the only brighter star that is not moving! Polaris remains (almost) on its position during the apparent rotation of the sky since earth's axis points to Polaris. All other stars rotate around Polaris! Therefore the name of Polaris which remains always on the same place in the north! (and it is a common misunderstanding that Polaris should be very bright!!!)

Широкий угол зрения рыбий показывает северном ночном небе видно от края плато швабскими Alb на юге Германии. Городов ниже Бизинген и Хехинген и на переднем плане лежит Замок Гогенцоллерн.

Можете ли вы найти Polaris, Северо-звезды? Просто запустите фильм! Polaris является единственной яркой звездой, не двигаться! Polaris остается (почти) на свою позицию в ходе видимое вращение неба с точками оси Земли к "Поларис". Все другие звезды вращаются вокруг Polaris! Поэтому название Polaris который всегда остается на том же месте на севере! (а это распространенное заблуждение, что Polaris должны быть очень ярко!)

The three time lapse clips show the night sky from Namibia in southern Africa. The sun sets in the west and is followed by a broad and diffuse display of Zodiacal Light, i.e. interplanetary dust illuminated by the sun. The center of our milky way is rising in the opposite direction. The third view shows the apparent rotation of our sky around the south celestial pole. There is no bright pole star in the southern hemisphere. Can you spot the Magellanic Clouds? Our neighboring galaxies are hiding behind the trees.
