This is certainly one of my more spastic mixes. The title and inspiration came from the popular book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig. I really aimed to use love songs that linked Jake's love for Bella and his love for machines together, but the songs morphed away from that the more I worked on the mix. In the end, it became more of a commentary on Eclipse, starting out hopeful at the beginning, full of new opportunities and truths. By the end, however, it speaks of unrequited love, lost futures, and sadness. Additionally, I loved the cover art so much that I made three wallpapers out of it, available below the download link.
