"I did it because I wanted to"-that was a good reason to do. You felt like that and you ate the apple. Hell is promised land... Promised to each of us. Cannot be avoided. So why to be afraid? At least you deserve it expressing your own will.
"I did it because I thought it could have been right" - no reason at all. No apple fell. Wings broken. You failed to get what you intended to. Hell anyway.
Right for whom? You are not right, you are even not true.
What did you hope for?

The only real choice is wether to follow yourself or follow god-knows what and for hell-knows what...
