07:57 GMT, December 16, 2008 Ulan-Ude | Within the frameworks of execution of contract signed at the beginning of 2008 Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has supplied a batch of two certified Mi-171 helicopters to air company "Utair". On 15th November the UTair commission completed the helicopters' acceptance, after which ferry flight of the helicopters from Ulan-Ude to Tyumen was arranged.

The brand new helicopters received by air company "UTair" on Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant are planned to be engaged in providing UN missions abroad. The helicopters of these batches are painted in white color and have identification marks of UN. Assigned missions will be supported by multifunctionality of MI-171 helicopters, which are meant for carriage of cargoes inside of cargo cabin and on external load sling, transportation of people, carrying out of construction-assembly works and other operations.

Air company "UTair", being the biggest operator of helicopters in the world, has been using the Mi-171 helicopters for UN missions. So helicopters delivered to the air company in 2005 were used for needs of UN in African countries. At the same time the air company operates the helicopters produced by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant in European countries (by virtue of type acceptance certificate of Mi-171 helicopter in Slovakia), in regions of Western and East Siberia.

Air company "Utair" purchases the Mi-171 helicopters, which have type certificate of Air Registration Board of IAC, which says about commitment of the air company to policy of flight operating safety.
