THIS documentary film explores the generation of post-punk musicians who took their synthesisers and achieved pop stardom.
Despite the pioneering sounds of the early Human League and other similar acts, none met with recognition until May 1979 when punks arrived on the scene.
Most noticeable was Gary Numan who songs Cars and Are Friends Electric? ushered in the synthesiser-pop era.
As well as Numan's success, Daniel Miller's indie label, Mute, produced huge synth acts including Depeche Mode and Yazoo.
The film features interviews and music from artists and music industry figures including Gary Nunman, Daniel Miller, Alison Moyet and Neil Tenant.
