Иногда оружие в целом и отдельно взятые его экземпляры становятся частью того или иного мифа. "Vampire Exterminator" - гравированный револьвер фирмы Colt модели Detective Special, выполненный в единственном экземпляре, как раз вписался в "миф" о вампирах. Посеребренный револьвер, украшенный отличной гравировкой, выполненной мастером-гравером фирмы Colt - Леонардом Франколини. Объемная гравировка содержит изображение летучих мышей, драконов и орнаментов, которые можно встретить, пожалуй, лишь на древних гербах в какой-нибудь старинной трансильванской крепости. Даже традиционное для фирмы Colt изображение вставшего на дыбы жеребенка, являющегося символом и торговой маркой компании, сделано так, что жеребец встает из гроба. Рукоятка снабжена гладкими щечками из черного дерева с двумя маленькими серебряными вставками в нижней части левой щечки рукоятки. Они изображают летучих мышей и, подобно зарубкам на прикладе побывавшей в деле снайперской винтовки, указывают количество убитых врагов.

Sometimes the weapon as a whole and its separately taken copies become a part of this or that myth. "Vampire Exterminator" - the engraved revolver of firm Colt of model Detective Special, executed in the single copy, was just entered in "myth" about vampires. The silvered revolver decorated with an excellent engraving, firm Colt executed by the master-engraver - Leonardo Frankolini. The volume engraving contains the image of bats, dragons and ornaments which can be met, perhaps, only on the ancient arms in any ancient Transylvania fortresses. Even the image of the reared foal who is a symbol and the trade mark of the company traditional for firm Colt, is made so that the stallion rises from a coffin. The handle is supplied by smooth cheeks from an ebony with two small silver inserts in the bottom part of the left cheek of the handle. They represent bats and, like notches on a butt of the sniper rifle which have visited business, specify quantity of the killed enemies.

Оружие помещено в шкатулку, изготовленную из черного дерева мастером Джефри Брундиджем из Миссури. Обивка, выполненная в французском стиле, из вельветовой ткани цвета крови, имеет углубление для самого револьвера, а так же для серебряной бутылочки с надписью "святая вода" и шомпола с рукоятью из черного дерева, которая может использоваться как рукоять входящей в комплект деревянной пики. В шкатулке также спрятано зеркало, сделанное в виде крышки гроба, предназначенное для того, чтобы распознать врага - по легенде вампир не отражается в зеркале и боится его. В маленьком отделении шкатулки помещены расставленные крестом шесть патронов .38 Special, серебряные пули которых изготовлены в виде головы Дракулы. В шкатулке также хранятся две выстрелянные пули со следами нарезов канала ствола. Можно предположить, что именно этими пулями и были одержаны две победы, указанные на рукоятке оружия.

Теперь о предполагаемой эффективности применения этого оружия и сопутствующих предметов против вампиров. 1. Дульный срез ствола освящен изображением христианского креста. Сделано это для того, чтобы усилить эффект применения оружия. Однако считается в корне не верным, что вампиров отпугивает крест и другие святые символы. Это заблуждение является продуктом Голливуда. Вампир переносит вид распятия но очень не любят его, особенно освященные, так как у них светлая энергетика от которой темному становиться очень не хорошо. 2. Святая вода, как и зеркало, скорее всего, предназначена для распознавания цели. Но опять же, такие средства являются лишь частью неверной информации из мифов о вампирах. 3. Пика из черного дерева - наиболее эффективное оружие против вампира после самого револьвера. Деревянный кол или стрела, пронзив сердце, не убивают, но парализуют, до тех пор, пока не будут вынуты или вампир не будет сожжен. Серебряные пули, должно быть, самое эффективное средство против вампиров, позволяющее быстро остановить врага на расстоянии. У обычного Detective Special эффективная дистанция стрельбы - самый максимум 15 – 25 метров, но серебряной пуле для поражения достаточно только войти в тело вампира, при условии, что ассасин будет хорошим стрелком. Как и деревянная пика, серебряные пули не убивают, а парализуют вампира. Соответственно, прежде чем, две указанные выше пули были извлечены из тел врагов, владельцу револьвера пришлось воспользоваться деревянной пикой. Опять же справедливости ради необходимо уточнить, что вампиры не переносят гексаграмму, так как этот символ и есть защита от вампиров. Причем именно гексаграмма и является, пожалуй, самым эффективным оружием против вампира после револьвера.

Silver bullets, should be, the effective remedy against the vampires, allowing quickly to stop the enemy on distance. At usual Detective Special an effective distance of shooting the maximum 15 – 23 yards, but a silver bullet for defeat are enough to put on weight only the vampire provided that assasin will be the good marksman. As well as wooden peak, silver bullets do not kill, and will paralyse the vampire. Accordingly, before, two specified above a bullet have been taken from bodies of enemies, the owner of a revolver had to take advantage wooden stake. Besides for the sake of justice it is necessary to specify that vampires do not transfer hexagram as this symbol and is protection against vampires. And hexagram also is, perhaps, the most effective weapon against the vampire after a revolver.

Независимо от того, существуют вампиры или нет, кем на самом деле они являются и как к ним относятся, без сомнений, этот револьвер - одно из самых загадочных и прекрасных творений современных оружейников.
