At a concert in Fresno, Calif., the crowd got out of control when The Rolling Stones performed in the middle of a football field. Police arrested rabid fans who broke out of their seats and charged the stage, trying to grab at the ankles of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.

Mick Jagger, 21, and James Brown bonded backstage in Santa Monica, Calif., while filming the 1964 concert film "The T.A.M.I. Show," which also featured The Supremes, and Marvin Gaye. The film was withdrawn from theaters almost immediately after its release because of contractual problems with The Beach Boys.
