[показать]Horst Alexander Klemm was born in Gera, Germany and studied art, graphic design and photography in Stuttgart. After completing his studies he set out to explore the world and make a photographic record of his travels. From childhood, Horst Klemm had been fascinated by the exploits of early adventurers, explorers and traders. Horst Klemm has paddled up the Amazon River, cut through the jungles of Papua New Guinea and crossed the Arabian Desert by camel. However, it is Africa that has always held a special place in his imagination. Horst Klemm settled in Africa over twenty eight years ago and has been retracing the steps of the early explorers and missionaries - criss-crossing the continent in an attempt to relive what they had experienced and endured over a hundred years ago. The results of Horst Klemm's often perilous quest have been captured in Horst Klemm's own distinctive style in his first work, An African Journal. He is currently working on Africa Remembered, which promises to be valuable addition to the annals of African exploration. |
