Correcto is a new band from Glasgow, Scotland. Based around the wiry, impatient pop songs of Danny Saunders and the influences of a generation of men with short, choppy haircuts (from David Gedge to Paul Weller to maybe even Joe Jackson) and including Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson and Patrick Doyle from the short-lived Royal We (the band also features Richard Wright), Correcto’s come out with a one-two punch in “Joni,” their first single, and now “Do it Better,” which is equally full of fizz, salted crisps, and buoyant, post-punk inspired melody.
