"Don't run too far - you will have to return the same distance." - Biblical proverb.
A friend of mine asked me a few days ago, why haven't I closed this blog yet, since it contains only personal notes and stories which nobody reads anyways. It looks like diary, not a blog, he said, because the word "blog" for him means something related to politics, social activities and public life. Well, I should agree, this part sounds reasonable. A person must have a clear aim to start posting something in the Internet. Even the weirdest note about the utterly useless things could in perspective live longer than its pitiful, unlucky author. Just imagine somebody reading your posts years later - ten years or more, perhaps. Will he learn something new or just lose his precious time like you did, unthinkingly printing and throwing this note in a glowing electronic emptiness? I hope so. Sadly, the answer will be, most likely, "no". Our words, freed from the prison of lonely mind on the other side of a screen, are going to start its own life in a parallel universe; but most likely this life will be as pitiful and useless as ours.
Two years ago I was more optimistic with that. Deluded, unwise, I was really sure that "each note may find its own reader". Well, at least this 'blog' served well as a diary, torning me from the blackest rooms of a reality. At least I found some interesting diaries (by the way, I prefer to read them anonymously...) made not only from silly fun, but from bitter tears too. Internet around the world becomes very cynic, cruel and merciless place, trying to hide its ugly essence behind powdered smiling clown mask. And it is much more pleasant to be still able to find treasure islands in such a murky sea.
So, I am still here, dreaming the crow black dreams, trying to look forward with hope; at the same time escaping from myself and trying to put together fragments of the past life. Writing short stories, keeping the book in mind - sweet book about sweet Llice. And... if somebody asks why on earth this note is in English, I will say "what's the difference? Nobody reads anyways".
