It's hard to tell when the feelings are real and when it's just an illusion, just you trying to upgrade your ego using someone else. Pretending you have feelings for them. Obviously you don't realize you do it before it's too late. Before the person opens up to you and it suddenly becomes boring. all the excitement is gone. you won. is that the whole mystery under failed relationships? maybe.. or maybe it's just the fact that people are so afraid to get hurt that they just run when it feels too real. I know i do.
