Chelsea, Manchester United and London Arsenal booked their places in the 2008-2009 Champions League semi-finals.
It seems to have already become a good tradition for English Club football that the second year in succession three Premier League teams (Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea) will take part in the Champion League semi-finals. Of course, it is known quite well that Premier League is one of the best (and maybe even the best) in Europe. To play there is a dream for all professional football players, as well as to train a team from Premier League is the top of the club coach career. And nothing is a better proof for it but the results which teams from England show. There is even a joke among English football fans that clubs from all Europe take part in the Champion League but the English will won in the end. And now there are good chances for it. We can even say that at least one English team has already booked its place in the final because Arsenal will face fellow English opposition Manchester United in the semi. The other pair is Barcelona against Chelsea. 
Last May in Moscow Man Utd won the Champions League by beating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties after a dramatic 1-1 draw. 2 years ago in Athens another English club Liverpool played in the final but it lost to Italian Milan 1-2 after two goals by Filippo Inzaghi. The same teams were in the Champions League final in 2005, and Milan was the winner as well as two years later. And in 2006 in Paris Arsenal was defeated by Barcelona though Arsen Wenger’s players took the lead practically until the end of the game but near the end of the second half Barcelona managed to equalize and a few minutes later Juliano Belletti scored to give Barca a 2-1 victory.
Which of the four teams(Arsenal, Chelsea, MU or Barcelona) will become a new champion we will see quite soon. The final match is played in Rome May, 23.
