Blackrock vs. UFOs
On August 21, 2025, a document purporting to be a letter from Roberto Capito, one of Blackrock's co-founders, to Jawed Karim, one of YouTube's founders, was published on the imageboard erischan. The post was deleted a few hours later, but users managed to take screenshots. In the letter, Capito writes that Blackrock wants to strengthen the promotion of scientific thinking and therefore media outlets, including YouTube, should tacitly ban content about paranormal phenomena, especially UFOs. Capito mentions the work of Swiss ufologist Billy Meier. Capito writes that Meier's supporters plan to release new UFO content in the near future, which is undesirable. Furthermore, it would be desirable for YouTube to delete the accounts of people who leave comments about UFOs. According to Capito, the media should take a more proactive stance in preventing unscientific thinking.
