Well, the location you have mentioned is for Windows XP. If you use Vista it's C:\Users\Nafcom\AppData\Roaming\ICQ

Notice that the message history is saved in Access database format in ICQ 6. You need Office 2003 or 2007 to be able to open it outside of ICQ 6.

ALso you need to enable history saving first. By default, it's disabled:
Main -->Options --> History ---> Save history.

Notice that the folder "Application Data" is a hidden one. You have to change the folder view option to enable viewing hidden files. And apart from that: If you cannot find them, use the Windows Search at START --> Search and search for "Messages.mdb"

If you have no "Messages.mdb" then the message history has never been written.

But why are you searching for the local original anyway? Wanting to do some backup or had problem updating from a previous ICQ 5/5.1 installation?

Unfortuantely you provide not much background info, so I can only guess.

If you are quoting paths, please us the '' as folder seperator, as it's very hard to read the way you wrote it.

Give me more background information, and the ideas will come. :)
