I want to tell you about a famous family.
My favourite band is “Good Charlotte”. Its lead singers are 2 brothers. And I’m going to tell you about them as a family.
Their names are Benji and Joel Madden. They are turning 28 the next year. They are twins.
The brothers were born in in Waldorf, state Maryland, USA.
The Maddens has 4 children: Benji, Joel, their elder brother, Josh, and small sister, Sarah.
They were common chlidren who did everything that other children were always doing.
Benji and Joes always see each other as theis best friends. They have the same sense of humor, share interests.
Actually sometimes they are totally different.
For example, Joel is very shy and sometimes it isn’t easy for him to get on with people. Benji is more open – hearted.
When Joel feels miserable or broken he keeps himself to himself. And Benji is the only person he trusts that moments...
When they were got into a school they came across an extraordinary collection of people.
Their schoolmates didn’t like them very much. There was a lot of teasing in their lives. The twines were asked to leave several school because of non – attendance and endless fights.
When they were 16 their father left their family. He was the kind of person who was slightly out touch with the family life and quite unapproachable.
It was the most painful experience for them.
They started to drink, to use drugs. They even tried to commit suicide. They threw themselves out of the 3rd floor. But they just broke some bones.
They found their rescue in music. Benji took up learning guitar. Singing was to Joel’s liking.
It took them a while to recover after their Dad’s leaving. But the twins didn’t want to give up.They were happy in hat they were doing.
Joel remembers: “Our mother gave us money to buy some book for school. Instead of that we spent all the money on music equipment.”
And it wasn’t a complete waste of money.
Now they have the band named “Good Charlotte”. It’s the biggest passion of them.
They are closest with each other. They are close as a family.
Joel and Benji are good brothers as brother go.
Benji and Joel are totally opposed to using drugs, drinking and thing like that.
They glorify the family, its power because their family always comes first in their lives.
