"New top model alert: in this fall's Givenchy ad, Lea is featured along with Mariacarla, Malgosia and Joan Smalls. Hollow cheeks, bleached eyebrows, she radiates a beauty that can be depicted as imperial, carefree, retro and androgynous, somewhere between Greta Garbo and Candy Darling. Lea T., sensation of the Fall 2010 season, is Women agency's new star. A woman-to-be, born Leo, who wants to live her life on high heels. Hailing from Belo Horizonte, she grew up as a well-educated boy in Brazil and Italy in a respected and Catholic family with 2 sisters and 1 brother. Leo was going to be a veterinarian until Lea appeared: "I met Riccardo Tisci who had just graduated from Central St Martins. Little by little, we became friends. With disarming simplicity, Lea explains that she is waiting for the final operation that will set her feminity free, "once we have everything administrative done".
