Не большой отчет о участии в сьемках DVD AFI+ от концерта 12-10-2006 20:34 к комментариям - к полной версии - понравилось!

Девушка Bella(17лет) из Калифорнии.

It was about 9:30 on Friday night.
The phone rings and it turns out to be Kristen Welsh who then goes to tell me that I have been selected along with 19 other people to take part in the DVD that AFI is making. There were no meet and greet dates for the Cali shows and we get this instead. She e-mailed me some papers I had to sing and bring with me also. I was so excited. We would be given 3 minutes to talk about The Despaor Faction and AFI and what it all emans to us. I had no idea what to say. I had way too many things in my head at once to think normaly.

Saturday morning comes.
I get up and shower, eat and then pick up Marianna and get to The Bill Graham Civic at around 2:45. The line had already turned the block. I sold Jake's ticket (cause the fool couldn't go) to a nice lady and her son. Gal joined soon after and we stood there waiting.

3:45 rolled around and I left Gal and Marianna to go to the Loading Dock where us DFers were supposed to meet for the interview. There were some people there already when I came and soon after a car pulls up and out comes HUNTER. He gets out, looks at us, turn and walks the other way. Smart move!!! Haha we stood and laughed for a minute. In about 10 minutes some guy came and told us they would be filming us…INSIDE THE TOUR BUS. We freaked and walked behind him. When we turned the block, I saw 3 huge busses. Some lady and 3 guys who are from Interscope ran out and started asking for our paperwork. They took pictures of us and of any tattoos we might have had. Then they told us to just chill while they took us in one by one into the bus. I stood there and talked to my fellow DFers (includes "Tigress", her amazingly pretty daughter Amber, chick from Modesto, Kristen, the 32 year old (who looks like shes 20), Doug, and my "left hand guy"). Everyone was very nice and I had tons of fun talking to them. Smith also walked by lots and some of us talked to him too.

When it was my turn, I walked up the stairs in the bus and shook hands with the guy taping. I didn't look around much, but from what I saw the bus was very clean and cozy. They had me stand and asked questions (the questions will not be heard on the DVD, just my answers). It went by so fast! Then I came out and about 7more people went after me.

When everyone was done, we had been informed that us 20 would be the first in the whole venue. We were hella excited. So time comes and they open the door for us. We walked past Tiger Army enjoying a nice meal. Haha.

I had to pee so ran to the bathroom like crazy hoping the general doors would not open yet. I came back on time and sat against the barricade. After about 5 minutes of us 20 dominating the huge place, general admission doors opened and people rushed in. The floor filled up fast and the security kept yelling for everyone to sit.

I found Marianna and Gal and called them closer. They sat about 4 people behind me and we waited.

At around 7:15 everyone got up and waited. I was right up at the barricade and it was okay for the most part. Then I started feeling the pushing from the people behind me. Saosin came on. They weren't that bad or wild, but the pushing kept on happening. It's not that I felt the 3,000 people behind me at the time, but the couple of people behind me were the problem. After about half an hour, I asked the guard to take me out. He told me to turn around and told people around me to help. They did, but when he pulled me out my leg got stuck in the barrier, while people pushed their way to the front. Result = Half of my leg is blue. When I got out, I forgot to grab my sweater under the barrier and well…will never see it again because as I came back after the show it was gone. After getting out, I walked around until Saosin was done. I met up with Marianna who got taken out also. We cound't find Gal, but thought he also had gotten out. I sat on the side during Tiger Army. More people arrived. Now there were about 7,000. The show sold out and AFI played to 9,000 people!

It was 9:15 when Tiger was finishing up and Marianna and I went up to the balcony to find good seats.

We and sat in suposidly "VIP" area. The ladies walking around patroling were like..."You cant sit here, its VIP only and since there aint enough seats for them, we gana pull up chairs and let them sit here."
Thank god the elderly couple next to us (VIP's!!) were like "if they come back again...just call us mom and dad" so then were like...yay! The ladies did return and the guy in the wheelchair yelled and cussed them out. She said since he was a VIP he was only allowed to have one person with him (and he had his wife) but he kept cussing and they eventually went away. So we sat above the first balcony seats on top of what I believe were Davey's parents. I know they were for sure there, cause when we went to do the interview the lady from Interscope went "brb...gana go get passes for Davey's parents".

When AFI got on, everything just kinda stopped and everyone focused on them.

Their show was amazing. It snowed and banners came down (except Davey's).

They left out Days of the Phoenix and Morningstar though!

GOD CALLED IN SICK TODAY
MISS MURDER.

Well, in the end the night turned out amazing.
In the end, I met up with Dec and Raz but din't see Kaz. Dec was in the crowd for merch (which dint seem to get any smaller) so he bought me a sweater. Thanks again bubbah! And I never got to meet Iris! Even though we texted and called eachother.
Funny thing, we later found Gal. Soaking wet because he was in the crowd the whole time. The crowd at this show...was....horrible. Everyone was pushing and doing shit for no reason at all when there wasn't even anyone on stage yet. Some guy got in with brass knuckles. WTF are people doing?!!! Also, the little shitty girls who were like "omg I just want them to play Miss Murder so I can leave" can go fuck herself. A lot of people din't know the old stuff...as always.
Yeah, the day was great. I love the DF.
Can't wait until the DVD is out!!!

Ысчо с того же концетра)
Afi came on with Prelude 12/21. SO FUCKING SICK!

They played mostly stuff off Decemberunderground, and sing the sorrow, there were only a few that weren't from the last two albums I beleive they only played, Totalimmortal, god called in sick (smith) today, and ever and a day. Which is cool. but also kind of sad.

I LOVE THE DECEMBERUNDERGROUND TRACKS

They played from Du:
Prelude 12/21
Summer Shudder
Kill Caustic
The Missing Frame
Love like Winter
and of course Miss Murder (last song)

The SHOW Was AMAZING. AFI and the stagecrew (smith too) was wearing white. There was VIDEO a first for AFI. Live cameras mounted on the ceiling of Hunter, Davey, and Jade. Pre-recorded video for Kill Caustic (I think) of each of them performing (pre-recorded) as sillhouttes on a white backround...think ipod Ad.

During Silver and Cold they played the whole Music Video.

Totally incredible. There was literally an Electric Orchard on stage, and their four portraits from the DU cds, where on thin banners that fell. Daveys malfunctioned though.

THE MISSING FRAME..... so amazing Live.... I got chills during this one and LLW. So amazing singing this live with 8,000 other people......

The best part..... Will the flood behind me, put out the fire inside me? I'LL LET YOU TEAR IT UP!!!!! I sang my heart and soul out during that part.... my favorite moment on any song ever.... I love it.

THE BEST THING:

Love Like Winter - So fucking incredible. My favorite track on DU, now easily my favorite ever live. The place was dancing, singing, jumping.... so beautiful.

AND DAVEY MADE IT SNOW.

It was totally december up in that bitch. There were little paper snowflakes alll over Bill Graham, being blown through the air so beautifully. IT was an incredible experience. I got chills. It was very similar to the MTV Movie Awards Performnace of Miss MUrder, but of course wayyyy better. I met my love before I was born.

The Merch area was retarded, and very similar to a moshpit w/ stupid mob mentality. I got 2 T-s. and bought a bunny hoody for Bella.

So Amazing.
