In a July 21 article about the track list for Guitar Hero 5, IGN defined Medicate as AFI's "unreleased single." This could be an assumption on IGN's part.

"The newest update includes 24 more tracks. There's a never before released live recording of Rush's "The Spirit of Radio," AFI's unreleased single "Medicate" which will be available in the game before stores, and "Bring the Noise 20XX," a Public Enemy/Zakk Wylde collaboration that is exclusive to the game."
