Real Madrid stopper Pepe was asked today about Ronaldo, and the defender stated that Ronaldo is an incredible player, and mused over the topic of his joining Madrid...
Pepe, as a member of the Portugal squad, knows more than most exactly what the Manchester United winger is capable of.
Speaking to Reuters, Pepe said, "It's a great person. I must make it clear that he's one of the best people in football.
"He always tries to help and is attentive to what people need. As a footballer he is extraordinary."
Pepe, when asked what he would quiz Ronaldo on in an interview, stated that his question to his international teammate would be whether or not he dreams of ending his career at Real Madrid.
The former Porto man went on to discuss more "out of the ordinary" players, saying that Guti, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Messi and Eto'o comprised the world's best.
He also touched on his coach, Bernd Schuster, saying, "He always wondered if I was doing OK, or if I needed anything.
"My first year here saw him being very considerate - I had his support and that was important.
"As for the Champions League, yes we can win it but we need to play with humility. We have good players, a squad of great quality and we're very much united. To win it would be a dream."
