В голове звучало нечто несуразное. Хотелось повторять эту несуразицу снова и снова. Вот уже две недели подряд она по ночам пишет музыку. Нет, только во сне. Под утро она просыпается и записывает её на телефон. А сегодня ночью повторно звучала музыка с прошлой недели. И так бывает.

Каждый день она просыпается и думает о том, что ей придётся влачить такое существование до конца своих дней. Существование неизвестно кого--иммигранта-реставратора, который ради того, чтобы выжить здесь в Америке переквалифицировался во флеботомиста. Нет, конечно, есть что-то мистическое в этом--кровь. И кровь её всегда увлекала. Это как некое кровопускание из картин Босха. Или не Босх это был вовсе. Трое детей у неё и муж, который работает только когда ему вздумается, но вообще-то всё своё свободное время занят поиском врачей из-за всех тех проблем, которые--вообще-то надуманные. Потому что имя его проблеме--иппохондрия. Но он хотя бы сидит дома с тремя детьми и двумя собаками и двумя котами. И жизнь вроде бы неплоха сама по себе. Кроме того, что Кити реставратор, а никак сейчас это с её жизненнной стезей не связано. Ну только что есть у неё отдушина--читать книги про реставрации, смотреть фильмы реставрационные. Да. А ещё интернет выручил--есть у неё один онлайн-ученик--подмастерье. Он нанял Китти как профессионального репетитора--реставратора, потому что она сам постигает азы реставрирования в Италии. Казалось, зачем ему Китти. Но Китти когда-то написала целую работу по реставрированию русских икон. Работа опубликовалась в Вестнике реставратора, а затем разошлась по интернету. Тут Микеле её и заприметил. И нашёл Кити. Спасибо опять же за всё разоблачителю Интернету. И вот одна единственная отдушина была теперь в Китиной жизни. Это самое репетиторство.

А так жизнь была в общем-то очень накатанная по колее. Кити напоминала самой себе загнанную лошадь. Нужно было всем приготовить еды. А Кити вообше никогда не готовила. Нужно было убраться в доме, причесать девочек-блезняшек и мальчика тоже. Нужно было примирить всех, если они дрались. Нужно было присмирить мужа, который возмущался тем, что секса не было уже три месяца. Секс для Кити в таком ритме жизни превратился в тяжёлую обязанность. Нужно было встретиться с подругой-врачом Валей, и послушать о том, какая у Кити пошлая жизнь. Ведь говорила же Валя ей 15 лет назад, что нужно идти в Штатах учиться на медсестру, а не на реставратора. Медсестра--это не как у нас. Медсестра--это что-то среднее между доктором и фельдшером и что в Америке миллиарды госпиталей и только сотни музеев. Но Кити никого не послушала и сейчас --it is what it is. Ей нравилась её учёба в Институте Искусства, она много путешествовала и встречалась с Бредом--нет не Питтом--Бредом из Алабамы, который тоже учился на реставратора--любителем Кафки и алкоголя. Ну и как Валя и предсказала--ничего из этого не вышло. Катя закончила институт и решила отъехаться подальше от города, где было слишком много криминала и слишком много воспоминаний о несчастной любви. Ей хотелось также быть поближе к океану, потому что в детстве у мамы не было денег отправить её на море. И вот здесь такой рай. Вначале она была волонтёром в местном музее, где она помогала сортировать письма, проводить экскурсии и так далее. Это был музей с затонувгими сокровищами. Один из испанских кораблей затонул когда-то в этой имеенно области. И тепеть затонувшие пожитки выставлялись на обзор.

Сегодня обрушилась на М что много денег тратит на ностинцы для сбак

В молле купил--2 пачки я же на еде ээкономлю

экономила накуртке поиом увидела плюнула купила дороже

и он начал возмущаться в ответ конечно что я купила себе игрущку Хелловина за 3 бакса

ппришлось согласиться и затенуться потом извиниться

в итоге щлость бушевала сходила на длинную прогулку

и потом в магазин поехала

и ингредиенты для блинчиков с сыроми т д потратила сама

потом смотрела Шаолиниський корридор

ёмоё нужно уже выучить эту амортизацию

вчера 15 минут йога в кровати

и т д врач

пониженный гемоглобин

сегодня начал м мол позвони в аптеку и обнови страховку--я знаю, что это не сработает

уже начала противоречить--потом хорошо--позвоила при нём мнеотказали и всё

Step 18: Blood Safety Guidelines

Each facility establishes guidelines for blood safety. Usually, these will be based on government regulations such as the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. Blood safety is a primary concern for healthcare workers because of their frequent contact with blood samples and infected patients.

Diseases that can be transmitted through blood include HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. AIDS is caused by HIV, human immunodeficiency virus, which acts by destroying the white blood cells that provide immunity to the body, called T cells. HIV is carried in the blood, all other body fluids and the mucous membranes.

Like HIV, viral hepatitis is transmitted through direct contact with infected blood or fluid. Hepatitis is classified as Hepatitis A (HAV), Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), Hepatitis D (HDV) and Hepatitis E (HEV). The three most common of these are HAV, HBV and HCV.

Healthcare employers are required to provide immunization for HBV to their personnel. Both HBV and HCV are progressive diseases carried in the blood and may become chronic. The virus may or may not result in any symptoms, although infected individuals can carry the virus and transmit it to others for a lifetime without knowing they have it. HCV causes liver damage, cirrhosis and liver failure. HBV also damages the liver and has been linked to liver cancer. Symptoms of HBV include fatigue, nausea, headache, fever and jaundice, a yellow discoloration of the skin. HBV can remain asymptomatic (have no symptoms) for years while it is causing damage. There is no vaccine for HCV; however, it has been treated with antiviral drugs with limited success.

Step 17: Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate

Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is the measurement of the rate that RBCs will settle toward the bottom of a vertical tube if the sample is well mixed and the blood is anticoagulated. The ESR is used for diagnosis and treatment of diseases because it is easy to perform, accurate and fairly inexpensive. The ESR is often referred to as the sed rate.

When the body has a disease, the plasma protein (fibrinogen) will be altered which will affect the sedimentation rate. Similarly, the surface of the RBC can be altered by disease and will affect the sedimentation rate.

The sed rate is taken in two ways, by using either the Wintrobe method or the Westergren method.

Wintrobe Method

In order to conduct an ESR test using the Wintrobe method, a venous blood sample is mixed well with an anticoagulant and transferred to a Wintrobe tube. A Wintrobe tube is a thick-walled glass tube with a flat bottom and millimeter marks from 0 to 105.4.

Glucose is the principal carbohydrate found in blood and serves as an energy source. Glucose is also found in urine, cerebrospinal fluid and semen.

The glucose test screens for glucose disorders such as liver dysfunction and hypoglycemia—a low blood glucose level. Another glucose disorder is hyperglycemia, which is a high blood glucose level. Hyperglycemia may indicate diabetes mellitus, Cushing’s syndrome or an acute response to stress.

Fasting Blood Glucose

Examining a patient’s fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels can screen for diabetes mellitus. A normal fasting serum value is less than 100 deciliters (dL). According to the American Diabetes Association, the prediabetes range is between 100 mg/dL and 125 mg/dL. Diabetes is diagnosed at fasting blood sugar of greater than or equal to 126 mg/dL.3
