Sonata Arctica - финская англоязычная пауэр-метал группа, образованная в 1996 году в северном финском городе Кеми (Лапландия). Изначально группа называлась Tricky Beans. Как группа Tricky Beans они преимущественно играли хард-рок. Став популярными, группа записала три демо ("Friend till the End", "Agre Pamppers" и "PeaceMaker") и играла дважды в Jyrki Sahkosirkus. В 1997 году группа изменяет название на Sonata Arctica, и в 1999 году их стиль окончательно изменился. Кроме того, вокалист Тони Какко сумел добиться чистого пения, основанного на фальцете и теноре.
С 2009 года коллектив не выпускал ни одного студийного альбома, и, О, Радость! В мае мы услышим новый альбом! А пока смотрим новый клип на одну из песен с будущего альбома ))) Эти ребята в своем репертуаре, в смысле, не разочаровывают!!!

Epica - голландская группа, играющая музыку в стиле симфоник-метал. Визитной карточкой Epica являются женский вокал (Симона Симонс) в сочетании с мужским гроулингом (Марк Янсен), свойственным дэт-металу, так называемая формула "красавица и чудовище". Также в группе используется струнный оркестр и хор. Была образована в 2003 году гитаристом и вокалистом Марком Янсеном после его ухода из After Forever.

Хотя, участники Epica утверждают, что нынешний альбом, название которого переводится, как "Реквием по Безразличным" как бы является продолжением предыдущего, и звучание почти не изменилось, лично могу сказать, что разница, все же есть. Темы, да, все те же насущные, но мелодика иная. Получилось грустно и воинственно. Местами просто завораживает, особенно, где прослеживаются восточные нотки. Альбом, безусловно, понравился. Приятно удивили композиции "Delirium" и "Serenade of Self-Destruction".
