Wow.  I can’t believe it came and went that quick.  But I had a great time and would do it again in a heartbeat (and preferably with a better lappytop lol!).

I’ll post later after the expo is done about my experience.  But right now, I want to show you the items that I modeled at the Fashion Show that are up for auction right now.  Remember that all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Second Life.

The first piece I modeled was this great design from Digit Darkes, called “Mi Swing es Tropical”.  It’s got a great texture and the skirt is wild and sexy.  The more I wore this, the more it grew on me.  It’s an absolutely wonderful creation and shmexily (yes, a new word!) fun.  What I wore with it:

This cute, simple dress is the “Purple Velvet Dress”, created by Serina Juran of Stones of Heaven.  It’s soft and pretty, the flexi flows very nicely.  It’s simple and pretty.  This auction piece includes the Black Opal Pendant on Gold shown here.  What I wore with it:

This is the dress…that if it wasn’t going up for auction…I would never let go.  This is “Karma”, created by Zaara Kohime of Zaara’s Indian Couture.  The texture, the design, the flow…it’s just stunning.  When I received the pic of this dress that I was going to be modeling, my jaw hit the floor.  Zaara is wonderfully talented and this piece speaks volumes.  What I wore with it:
Jewelry = Muse “Marguerite Peacock Feather”
Hair = ETD “Roslin”
Shoes = Adam n Eve “Incanti”

LOL It’s for a great cause anyway.  So yes, as I happen to have been a model for the Fashion Show, I am now in the running for the Fashion Expo Top Fashion Model.  Each vote is a donation of at least L$1, again with all the proceeds going to the RFL.  The voting ends on June 9th at 9PM SLT as well.  And you can access that flight via this gate.

The hatband and the feather are scripted color-change and it’s dead cheap and they’re part of Hae’s brand new shop, Tousled, which I am even maybe more excited about than she is. This hair is fantastic and I’ve been loath to remove it from my head since she gave it to me to beta test. For a first time collaboration, I couldn’t’ve asked for a better turnout all around.

In addition to Modavia Supermodel Ronnie Hastings participation in Fashion Expo 2008, three additional models from this talented group were selected to participate; the lovely Payton Heron, everyone’s favorite Supermodel kitty Miss Summer Deadlight, and myself, Anessa Stine. We, alongside some of the best and brightest walkers around, made our way to the Expo Runway this morning to strut our stuff in some amazing one-of-a-kind creations. Despite one or two of the sims around the runway going offline and momentarily displacing some of our guests, the show was a success and a great deal of fun for all involved. Special thanks to Autumn Fairlane who gave voice to this event amidst chaos.

The three amazing garments I was privileged to model were (L-R) the TESLA ‘Slither’ Athena Boots, the LVS & Co. ‘Believe’ Gown and Indyra Originals ‘Lorraine’ Dress (full outfit credits to follow). The items are still up for grabs at the site of the auction, here. Auction will remain open until Monday evening, so hop on over and take a look if you are curious about the dozens of amazing one-of-a-kind items available.

The cherry on the top of all of today’s events is the open voting to find ‘Fashion Expo 2008’s Top Model‘,  also until Monday evening, the voting is taking place at the event stage and you can vote as often as you like for any of the models who participated by clicking and paying our photographs. Votes will cost 1L each, the Model who collect the most votes… all proceeds going to RFL… will get the coveted title and some nice goodies from event participants. If you are so inclined voting is taking place here.

I stalked Studio Sidhe today! I saw Faery Sola's post on the fashion feed about her adorable new vests and slithered my way over to her shop. Faery Sola is lovely, and we had a small conversation about shoes.

"They seem very complicated. I tend to go barefoot," Faery chuckled, and I recalled that the Fae don't generally need things like shoes anyway!

The vest doesn't come with Faery's beaded choker and arm/wristbands, but they're worth getting. The tiny detail work is marvelous, and the colors are a fantasy of natural reds and blues and browns. Native American fae? Why not, I've read my Charles DeLint...

Along the way I stopped to get Fab Hazel's hair (she looks marvelous in it), this free hair from Bishwear. It's large and curly, just like my own hair from the 80s!

Forgive my brevity. I had a month-delayed RL birthday party today, and I'm still a bit sodden darn that sangria...

Celestial Studios - Poppy

Today's style is from Celestial Studios.

The Poppy style is a medium, straight style that ends just at the shoulders with razored ends. The bangs are parted on the right with the ends falling into the eyes. The rest of the hair is pulled back from face is two sections giving the style a pseudo-ponytail look. The pseudo-ponies leave the top of style having an almost heart-like shape to it.

The Poppy style costs $1000L for a 39-color willow pack, $150L for a 3-color pack and the demos are $1L. Also just released is the Maude the Mod Headband. Its in Split Pea's store (room 13 at the Starlust) and will be at Pudge's Cheeseburger. It was made to work with Pudge's new hair Maude the Mod (adoooorable hair!!) The flower petals are color changing so you can click each petal and make any color changes you'd like! GOOOO nuts (like me)!!

Imagen Divine Agency Final 2 Shows.

As this is being written, the first of Imagen Divine Agency's final 2 shows is going one.  The last show will be June 8, 2008 at 5pm SLT.
