… late night … booty calls - SHINY DISCO BALLS….
And I’m sure that the majority of people reading this have no idea what the hell the title and start of this blog post are referring to - but if you do, good for you. As I mentioned yesterday, there will actually be two blog posts today - and they both follow one theme: Music.
Music is something that I find universally inspires everyone - like a muse; go figure. Ever since Milla had given me the oppurtunity to blog on MichaMi I have been bugging my good friend Catero Revolution to do a blog post with me - why? Because he’s just so stylish and sexy - I mean let’s face it, Catero’s got good taste - and his avatar always looks delicious. Soo… long story short, after a little poking and proding, he finally agreed to do one with me - so long as it involved one thing: Disco.
Not being a huge fan of the Disco era, or at least not having an extremely comprehensive knowledge of the era - it did take a little convincing - however, I like the Scissor Sisters and having a good time every now and then… so… I’ll go with it:
As soon as Catero showed up to take the pictures in his outfit, I knew I had to do something that was a bit more simple; when you’re dressing as a couple - you dont want it to seem as though you’re competing with each other for the spotlight. Piecing this together was fairly simple in many respects, but it took some serious digging through my landmark library to actually find something that would work. I started with a bob with some razor sharp angles and bangs, very Cleopatra-esque. From there I simply went for a bright strapless jumper with the most rediculously bright belt I could find… glitter and highly saturated colors - check. I finished off my whole look with a pair of basic metalic pumps and for fear of overdoing it anymore than we already had, I left it at that. Oh, and let’s not forget that strong cat-eye makeup as well…
How Catero came up with his look? It probobly involved some mushrooms and a darklight, that’s all I can say.

I know, I’m a little late. But I had all the pics done and everything. Unfortunately, I had to deal with some stuff last night. But look!! Here it is!!
Shoes. Just about everyone has at least one pair. Most women have at least five. And if you exist in SL, more than likely you have enough to count on two hands.
I have lots of shoes. Not that I’m a shoe nut in RL. But again, in SL where you can look however you want, why wouldn’t you want a whole lot of shoes??
So here are some of my favorites I have in my inventory. Hopefully you like them too!
The wonderful thing about SL is our feet will never complain about wearing heels for too long. That said, here’s what I favor in the heel department:
- AFantasy Color Change Strappy Heels with Rivets: color change rocks. It makes having to match an outfit that much easier. Plus it saves you money on having to buy every color of one shoe. These are a good pair to have and ones I wear a lot. The criss cross in the front makes the shoe look secure in place and the rivets are just a great design.
- Digital Dragon Designs Gold Stripe Heel Espadrilles: I wore these with a lot of outfits over the summer. The color is great and it’s a very simple design. They went great with shorts and capris.
- LC Vamp Caliah in Aubergine : these are cute with a skirt. I don’t really know why. But they are. Hard to tell in the pic, but the bead hanging off the shoe is kind of purply. Love it. And the little bow at the front is a great little detail. Just a really cute shoe all together.
I was actually shocked when I went through my inventory and discovered I had a relatively large selection of boots. Hmm. When did that happen? My current faves:
- Hexed Black Suede Boots: they are simple but that’s what makes them a great pair to have. The height up the calf is really good (goes really well with a cute skirt) and the texture is very well done.
-Maitreya Dune Boots: these boots are awesome. I should have worn them over a pair of jeans to give you the real effect of the slouchiness style to them. And what was wonderful about these when I got them is that Maitreya was offering them in several different calf sizes (I think three all together) with demos. So you wouldn’t find out that when you took them home and tried them on, you had reconfigure your legs so they wouldn’t stick out.
Well, they aren’t heels and they aren’t boots. So they get the “Other” category. They are just as important as everybody else:
- Inside Out SLeakers in Purple: these are soooooo cute, I want a pair in RL. These are great to pair with poodle skirt for 50s night. But yeah. I love ‘em.
- Digital Dragon Designs Purple Studs Clog Slippers: great with a pair of jeans. The studs around the edges again give an awesome design effect when you look at them. And they just look comfy.
So there you have it. You have seen a glimpse into the folder marked “Shoes” that resides in my inventory. I have a feeling that folder will be growing in 2008.

Many of you may not have heard of the ‘Lookr’ clothing brand yet, and it’s not normally one I’d feature on Sexy Second. However, when I logged in today and received news of a new release, I rushed over to Adam Soler’s store and knew I just had to share this one with you.
‘Vixen’ is Adam’s newest release, a follow up on ‘Fox’ which I’ll come on to a little later. Vixen is a gorgeous long cardigan and chinos set: the texturing and detail on the trousers is superb, but as much as I love them I was overawed by the cardigan itself, here shown in chocolate.
The set comes on shirt and system skirt layers with prim attachments by way of chunky cuffs and two tie ends to the front to fasten. The neckline is square at the shoulders, plunging to the chest and pinning centrally, falling open and
down and finishing around the knees (a little above if you have longer legs than mine). The chevron knit runs throughout, creases and considered highlights detailing the wool. A thick trim skirts the edges for a neat finish.
The seams are carefully worked so that the threads appear to run in line with the outfit: lines are clearly decided and fashioned as part of the cardigan, becoming something of a feature. The usual system skirt issues apply: put on your dress shape or expect your bum to look big in this! If you’re throwing funky poses you may find the centre seam becomes quite visible, but you can easily work around this with a selection of ladylike poses. You know you have it in you. Vixen also comes with a shirt layer that is ‘cropped’ if you wanted to wear the cardigan as a short version without the skirt. Praise the designers who give us such options!
Another piece in the store that may be of interest is ‘Fox’, shown here in vanilla (which I suspect to be mother of Vixen). This is essentially a cropped cardigan of the same style, completely open fronted and closing to the bottom with a silver buckle tie, a short excess flapping freely to the side. The modesty bra comes complete with the set but you can replace with your own – or none at all, this looks just as fabulous without and will conceal all the necessary. I haven’t shown in the picture, but the back of this is expertly crafted, with lots of beautiful folds in the material that really make it stand out.
Lookr mainly features casuals, and as such they are very well crafted. If you go for nothing else, you have to go and check out the very creative build: ‘port over and see for yourself (and don’t forget to wave if you see me in the lounge).
Vixen, $250L per colour. Fox, $175L per colour

[показать]I am Neko is a black glittery fabric outfit adorned with blue butterflies on the pants and a yellow butterfly on the top. I have been a neko for over a year, and it definitely influences the things I make, but this is the first outfit I made with only nekos in mind. It was made in response to the myriad of stupid questions I get asked daily...such as:by Noirran at January 03, 2008 09:26 AM

Last spring, Nessinger Loveless over at TART released some low waist jeans which I loved, but did not wear that much because they were,well.. ahem… they were REALLY low, but now she has a couple of new hip huggers out that are just really my thing. Great classical 5 pocket model, sculpted cuffs with perfectly matching textures in classical jeans colours. They wrap up your hips very nicely and have a good shading. I love jeans.. a girl just can’t have too much of them.
