Oath
«
I hereby undertake an Oath of giving up and getting rid of everything I consider being base and vile.
I consider myself able to stand the trial of the line above mentioned in all points, among them:
1. Using drugs, alcohol, tobacco and other intoxicants in quantities over those permitting my conscience to be controllable by Self.
2. Fear of sudden death and ways of its arrival were the latter is subject to reflection and deep and thorough psychological workout.
3. Any other manifestation of things or ideas I may consider being impure and unfit for my Self who bears the sign of the name "תאוות האור" and motto "S. H. G."
I realize that taking of the Oath will bring me into pains and temptations of various sorts and state myself able to overcome these. The Oath is to last. Shall I fail in accomplishing the Oath, I shall endure and attain again, until absolute success.
So mote it be!

This Oath is taken as according to the clauses 14 and 21 of Liber HAD sub figura 555 which say: "Let the Aspirant live the life of a strong and beautiful being, proud and exalted, contemptuous of and fierce toward all that is base and vile" also "Let the Aspirant strengthen his body by all means in his power, and let him with equal pace refine all that is in him to the true ideal of Royalty. Yet let his formula, as a King's ought, be Excess".
