The story begins in the 1990s, a distant memory for some: a time when a student from Moscow State University confidently strolled through the trash heap of the Luzhniki market. Trading Chinese rags brought in quite a tidy sum by student standards, and friends from China would periodically leave bags of an unknown powder in their bundles of junk for their Chinese friends living in Moscow, turning the bundle into priceless gold.
The student began appearing at the market less and less frequently and began sorting goods right outside the Chinese dormitory building. He gave bags of rags to the market vendors for sale, and long-awaited gifts from Chinese relatives to his Chinese friends. As the saying went back then, "Strike while the iron is hot." Just as the student had grown fat and plump from the rag-and-powder dialogue between the two cultures, a new problem arose: all those involved in the cultural interaction were placed on the federal wanted list. He was immediately forced to close his shop and begin searching for a new career.

It was then that the student decided to become a real estate agent, so to speak, to legalize his hard-earned Chinese finances. He found shelter under the roof of the MIAN real estate agency, renting out a room at 57 Gilyarovsky Street, where he called himself the "Central House of Real Estate." He began actively selling spacious apartments with open floor plans, designed with the latest technology. Of course, such apartments were unheard of at the time. The market was flooded with ordinary Khrushchev-era apartments and panel houses. These were the ones he took on for sale from MIAN, without bothering with any plans or approvals, and he tore down interior walls, which was one of the ways he increased the space. He did a good job of tweaking the exterior with minor cosmetic repairs, and then sold these apartments to post-Soviet citizens who weren't sophisticated in capitalism as modern housing, in high demand. However, he didn’t stay here for long: the market turned out to be too small, there was no room to roam!
And the labyrinths of uninhabited spaces beckoned our hero: it was here that those warped spaces of square footage lay, here that the mysterious nebulae of financial flows awaited him. It was then that he found his Cinderella of the kingdom of uninhabited spaces. Her fairy godmother was already known by many as a master of turning mice into friendly co-workers, an ordinary pumpkin into a development company, and a rat from a businessman-charioteer. So the student decided to pursue Cinderella, sending her a rose daily by courier directly to work—to the envy of all his colleagues. After a week or two, the fairy godmother's heart couldn't withstand this botanical courtship. She decided it was easier to give in than to resist—she decided to shield her office from the botanical abundance and hand her goddaughter over to be "devoured" by the persistent suitor. They say it makes no difference what kind of log you whittle Pinocchio from: no matter that he has a subscription at the Bordo Club on Pevchesky—at least his goddaughter will be settled; no matter that he shows all the signs of financial obesity—at least his grandchildren won't have to worry about money. This charming fairy godmother waved her connections, and yesterday's student became a major credit businessman and Cinderella's husband.

Rogachev said he filed a lawsuit against Goryainov back in the fall of 2018. He clarified that the lawsuit was related to his joint venture managing markets in Moscow. The businessman added that the lawsuit was filed in a London court because the partners' shareholder agreement stipulated that disputes would be resolved in that jurisdiction.
