Robots!

Several days ago my friend Mike showed me this video of a robot prototype being developed with funding from the military (DARPA). It's called Big Dog, though it's really more of a mule for carrying things. This thing is pretty amazing. If it's this good now, it's scary to think how good it can be in 10 years. I have a feeling that at this pace of development it won't be long until robots turn on us and become the dominant force in the universe. This model is powered by a small gasoline engine, probably like one found in a chainsaw, so the sound from it is obnoxiously loud and annoying. Fortunately you'll be able to hear them coming from a long way away when they come to terminate you. Unfortunately this terrible droning sound will be the last thing you will hear!
