Heya! :)
Today was the day of orientaion in North Thurtson High School!
They had a lot of games to make children - get know each other and stuff like that! :)
Then there was a big free lunch :)
Also today is Jackie's birthday :) I presented her a card and Russian Doll!
Now I understand - in what thing Americans are not good...She was just like : "Oh..thanks" anf thats it all....I'm the person who looks for all things...And I was upset a bit...Even if she is half-Lithuanian - she wasnt really happy like Russians..
it's kinda sad...but we are all different...................

That's the way Americans are... They don't have a lot of words that describe how they feel. Don't worry, it's a common fact :) I'm sure she liked ur present...

i actually dont really want to make friends cuz I will probably will never see them again...So I prefer only my host family,brothers and sister :) :D

Yeah, ur right about friends... It won't help ur english though... So better make some ;) Not like best friends, but just friends... U can write e-mails to them afterwards...

Prophecy_Girl, so what...yeah..getting to know each other..so now I have some people who knows me in my school..:)
Американцы - не плохие, я думаю.. Они не привыкли выражать свои эмоции так, как мы. Джеки наверняка и подумать не могла, что тебя может обидеть её реакция. Я сама такая же, как и ты, всегда обращаю внимание на каждую мелочь, на каждый жест, и малейшая деталь способна меня огорчить! Но это другая нация, менталитет. А литовцы тоже совсем не похожи на русских. Я спрашивала у мамы - она в детстве, когда жила в Вильнюсе, много общалась с литовцами - они довольно жесткие в общении... мало думают о других.. :(

А что за card ты ей подарил? И что за куклу? Но вообще не расстраивайся, я вообще не знаю, но, может американцы просто не привыкли выражать свою радость так. Европейцы, в принципе, многие тоже не привыкли. А насчет друзей ты не прав! Тебе же там целый год жить. Обязательно с кем-нибудь подружись, потом же можно переписываться. Ты разве туда не за этим ехал?;)
