В своё время американцы озадачились вопросом, что имеющиеся джипы М151 с вооружения сняли а имеющиеся "Хаммеры" не помещаются в транспортные отсеки V-22 и транспортно-десантные вертолёты СН-53. Без транспортного средства обходиться было никак нельзя.
В результате был создан джип ITV Growler (Internally Transportable Vehicle), который с 2009 года стал поступать на вооружение.
"Growler" используется как лёгкая патрульная машина а так же как тягач. В частности для 120 мм миномёта.

Marines from Advanced Force Element, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire M240B machine guns from a mounted position, April 9, during Exercise African Lion 2012 in Cap Draa, Morocco. AFE is a Force Reconnaissance platoon trained in Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Counter Intelligence, Human Intelligence, Radio Reconnaissance and other special skills. The Advanced Forces Element is supporting AL-12 by conducting bilateral training with Moroccan Armed Forces in order to develop valuable military skills and foster cooperation between both militaries.

Beagle, a 21-year-old DeLand, Fla., native, is in charge of preparing rounds and charges and loading them into the mortar. The battery was elected to train on the new mortar system for the Marine Corps.
Marines with Battalion Landing Team 3/1 work together to fit a tactical vehicle into a tracked vehicle for the first time here June 15. The Marines are a part of a field exercise conducted by the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

PACIFIC OCEAN (July 11, 2014) A half-scale ultra heavy-lift amphibious connector (UHAC), an amphibious connector prototype created by Navatek Ltd. and the Office of Naval Research, departs the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). The Marine Corps Warfighting lab sponsored this UHAC demonstration during the at-sea phase of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise 2014. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC exercise from June 26 to Aug. 1, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
