Эмиль Вилла поступил в Школу изящных искусств в Париже 9 октября 1861 и учился у Charles Gleyre и Auguste Glaize. Он был экспонентом в салоне с 1859 до 1882 года и получил поощрительную премию в 1876 году. Emile Villa был членом группы "Societe des Artistes Francais" в 1884 году и получил почетную грамоту общества в 1889 на Всемирной выставке. Emile Villa enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris on 9th October 1861 and studied under Charles Gleyre and Auguste Glaize. He was a Salon exhibitor from 1859 until 1882 and received an honourable mention in 1876. He was a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais as of 1884 and received a society honourable mention at the 1889 Exposition Universelle. Villa’s body of work comprises portraits of children and animals, genre compositions and caricatures.
