Уильям Ларкин (William Larkin, 1580 – 1619) – английский художник-портретист, известен своими знаковыми портретами английской аристократии при дворе Якова I, в Англии. Наибольшей активности в своей работе художник достиг в 1609 году и так трудился до своей смерти. Портреты захватывают яркими цветами, богатыми наслоениями текстиля , вышивки , кружева и ювелирных изделий, характерных для моды современной ему эпохи. Впервые имя Уильяма Ларкина прозвучало как автора портрета Эдварда Герберта, ранее считавшейся работой Исаака Оливера, имя этого художника с его работами не ассоциировали никак, хотя знали, что был такой при дворе Тюдоров и ранних Стюартов. Он создал около 40 портретов придворной знати. Серией из девяти полнометражных портретов (7 женских и 2 мужских) Ларкина владели графы Саффолк. Теперь она известна, как «Саффолкская коллекция», экспонируемая в Кенвуд-Хаус, Лондон. Точная дата смерти художника и место захоронения неизвестны, так как документы об этом сгорели во время Великого пожара в Лондоне в 1666 году.(отсюда )
