AN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY HAND PAINTED PLATE, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS I. The center cartouche finely painted with a fruit still life surrounded by three reserves painted with an exotic bird, flowers, and vegetables against a turquoise and lapis ground with burnished gold decorative elements of scrolling foliage and urns. Underside of plate with the cipher of Tsar Nicholas I under the Imperial crown

Германия, Мейсенская Фарфоровая Мануфактура, 1930-е гг. Фабрика "Мейсен" – это первый и самый известный в Европе центр по производству фарфора,чья продукция считается эталоном качества и традиций. Посуда с лепным декором, расписанная дорогой кобальтовой краской, создавалась для торжественных приёмов особ из высшего общества.

AN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY PLATE FRO THE KREMLIN SERVICE, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS I. Center cavetto painted with a black double-headed Imperial eagle with crown, orb and scepter and surrounded by a gilt band inscribed 'Nicholas the Emperor and Ruler of all the Russians'. The elaborate border decorated with blue and green flowers against a burnished gilt ground. Underside of plate with Cipher of Nicholas I. Diameter 8.5 inches (22 cm).

A PAIR OF IMPERIAL RUSSIAN PLATES, PERIOD OF ALEXANDER II AND NICHOLAS II. The first with cavetto decorated with an ornate gilt medallion, the scalloped border with similarly ornate gilt strapwork and the top emblazoned with the monogram of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich (later Tsar Alexander III) beneath the Imperial crown. Verso with blue under glaze mark of Alexander II. Diameter 10 inches (25.4 cm). The second with lavender border banded in gold edging and also with the cipher of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich. Verso with under glaze green mark of Nicholas II and dated 1896. Diameter 9.5 inches (24.2 cm).

A SOVIET PORCELAIN PROPAGANDA PLATE, AFTER THE DESIGN BY MIKHAIL M. ADAMOVICH (1884-1947), STATE PORCELAIN FACTORY, 1923, COMMEMORATING THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RED ARMY. The cavetto painted with a Red Army Soldier holding a rifle and standing on a trampled Imperial Flag and crown. Behind him the Cyrillic letters РСФСР worked in flowers and the dates 1918-1923. The rim emblazoned with the slogan Struggle Gives birth to Heroes

A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PLATE, KORNILOV BROTHERS, CIRCA 1890. The cavetto with a soldier riding in a sleigh. The borders with colorful strapwork in the Pan Slavic style interspersed with three scenes depicting Spring, Summer and Winter, and the rim gilded. Verso with factory mark of Kornilov beneath the Imperial Warrant and further marked Kornilov for Tiffany New York.
