When Monty was 16 years old, he was asked to write an essay about what he wants when he grows up. Monty was tormented for a long time and spent many hours describing his dream.
He wanted to become a ranch owner someday. He wrote seven pages, describing in the smallest details a 200-acre ranch, and drew a plan for the location of all the buildings, stables and roads. He even drew a very detailed plan of the house, which he will build with an area of 4,000 square feet. The next day, Monti gave his essay to the teacher.
Two days later his teacher returned the composition, putting a fat red deuce, attributing: "Stay after the lesson."
After the lesson, the boy with a dream came to the teacher and asked why he received a deuce for his composition. To which the teacher replied: "Because such a dream is unrealizable for a boy like you. You need a lot, lots of money to buy such a ranch. And what money do you have? None. You're from a very poor family. There is no way for you to realize your dream. It is not feasible. That's what I'll tell you. Go home and write another essay in which you describe another, more realistic dream, and I'll give you another assessment. " The boy returned home and asked for advice from his father.
And that's what he heard: "Son, I'm afraid I'm not helping you. I think it should be just your decision, and I have a feeling that this will be a really important decision for you. " Monty pondered his father's words for a week. Finally, he returned to the teacher all the same work and said: "You can leave yourself a deuce, but I leave myself a dream."
It's time, Monti graduated from high school, became an adult. He told the story and, turning to a group of people who listened to him, said: "I told you this story, because you are all sitting in my 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of my 200-acre ranch. And then the composition hangs in the frame above the fireplace. " Monti continued: "The most surprising part of this story is that two years ago, in the summer, the same teacher brought here 30 schoolchildren, and they camped for a week on my ranch.
