Sugar'n Cream Yarn "The Original"
3 Dungarease Yarn in Turquoise
Crofter Dk Yarn in
Stitches used
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
hdc half double crochet
dc: double crochet
st: stitches
sk: skip
For the Sugar'n Cream yarn, and the shell st, it is 17 stitches, and 5 rows for a 4 inch square swatch
For the Dungarease yarn it is 21 stitches and 7 rows for a 4 inch square swatch!!!
Back:
Round 1:ch 74, sl st with first ch, making sure you do not twist the ch, ch, sc all around
Round 2: ch3, 2dc in same st, [
sk 2 st, 3dc in next st] repeat all around you will have 25 shells in total
Round 3: sc all around
Round 4-:10 repeat round 2 and 3
Row 11: [sk 2 st, 3dc in next st] repeat 10 times, turn you will now no longer work in the round
Row12: 30 sc, turn
Row 13-14: repeat row 11-12 turn
Row 15: [sk 2 st, 3dc in next st] repeat 3 times, turn
Row 16: 10sc
Row 17-18: repeat row 15 and 16 fasten off
Repeat Row 15-18: on the other side of your back, turn
Front:
Row 1: skip 3 cloisters, from the back shoulder, sl st
Row 3: 9sc, turn
Turn your work, wrong side facing you, Sew the back shudders to the front
Round 1:With Denim color yarn, sl st in any of the st from the back side of your dress, sc, 2sc in next st all around
Round 2: dc, 2dc in next st
Round 3: 4dc, circle, 16 dc, circle all around
here is a how to for the Circles:
6dc down the last dc you just made
6dc up the previous dc, it helps to turn your work upside down
Join with First dc of your circle,
dc in next st
16 dc, and repeat
Round 4-6: dc all around
Round 7: [16dc, circle,] repeat all around
Round 8-10: dc all around
Repeat rows 7 to 10 until you have 24 rows
Border:
[sk 2st, 6dc, sk 2, sc,] all around
Sew in all lose Tails
Now comes the Tedious work, but it is well worth the effort!!!, You will turn each and every circle into cute little flowers, you can leave a few circles as it is if you like, or transform them all....your choice!!!
With your Crofter Dk yarn and a 2.25 mm hook, sl st in any st behind the flower
sc in same space
in same sp: hdc, dc
tr,
tr, ch3, sl st in top of tr
tr, dc, hdc, sc
sc behind the flower again
make another sc behind the flower and make another petal the same way, hdc, dc, tr, tr ch3picot, tr, dc' hdc, sc, etc....make 5 petals this way
Fasten off, sew all lose tails in
