Blow a fuse
‘If the kids have messed up the house again I am going to blow a fuse!’
Lose your temper
‘Don’t lose your temper, but I accidentally crashed your car.’
Freak out
‘I told her I had forgotten my essay and she freaked out.’
Hit the roof
‘When she told me how much she spent on that new car I hit the roof!’
Fly off the handle
‘If you tell him you aren’t coming to his party he might fly of the handle.’
Ticked off
‘I am still ticked off about the way he ignored my birthday.’
