The early morning hours of May 6 were moonless when grains of cosmic dust streaked through dark skies near Albion, Maine. Swept up as planet Earth plows through dusty debris streams left behind periodic Comet Halley, the annual meteor shower is known as the Eta Aquarids.
Deep Sky Colors
Browsing my archive of images from Hawaii that never made it to the Hawaii Nights book or gallery, I found a lot of pics that aren't too bad. They reflect moments, rather than some vast nightscape. Here's one from the breathtaking island of Moloka'i, in one of its many beaches on the south shore, looking east.
