Emerald Night Reflection - Made a short 3 days trip to the Canadian Rockies after the news on the solar flare from the sun 2 weeks ago. Wanted to try my luck hoping to have a better chance to see some aurora in the area. But too bad there wasn't any from the 3 nights I was there. But it was still an amazing trip with some wonderful conditions for night and morning photography.
Emerald Lake is the first stop as arrived around midnight the 1st night with the moon already up hiding behind the thick clouds. Make a great illumination for the mountains. The lights from Emerald Lake Lodge is a bit much for the night shot. So I took another exposure to keep the light down a bit. The lights from the lodge also gave some good lighting on the rocks along the shore.
