[показать]I seriously think that my history class will be the only thing on my mind for the rest of this semester. As you know, I had some worries about how tough of a grader the professor is and whether I'll be able to get an A in this class. Well, judging from these reviews on ratemyprofessors.com, my question has almost been answered, and now I just want to go and hang myself for taking his class:
"this man is the worst professor i have ever had. he looks like santa yet treats everyone like crap. if you have a question he belittles you and makes you feel like a fool. i should have dropped him while i still had the chance.**** HIM"
"Very very very tough grader. I'm learning a lot from his class, and have never known so much about the early western world before him. The problem is that his tests are graded very harshly and it's almost impossible to get an A."
"he is a a realy funny guy... opinionated and will argue with a student for his own fun. Tests are pretty easy, short answers are obvious and essays are not to long, but he's a hard grader..the highest grade in my class was a B+. I learned a lot."
"I had Hughes for a telecourse. My impression: he's proud to the point of arrogance about his knowledge, which is extensive. He does have a true love of history. I'm appalled but not surprised to read that he mocks students. I write extremely well and knew after getting my first paper back that he wasn't going to give me an A even if I deserved one."
"I had him for U.S. History II and he was awful. He seems to think his**** doesn't stink. He knows a lot of history but he can't teach at all. He likes to bash President Bush, and even though I don't like Bush myself, I don't care to hear his opinion. I really don't care what he thinks at all. He should keep his politics outside the classroom."
