Считаю нужным привести избранные цитаты, так как некоторые в силу своих интернетовых неудобств не смогут вполне насладиться сим чудом...
"The whole album [WYWH] was a kind of a nightmare to put together because Dave and I were already absolutely at loggerheads by then and he had one whole idea of what it was gonna be like and I had a whole other idea. And I'm happy to say [laughs] my idea won in the end!"
И моя самая любимая цитата из Роджа ВООБЩЕ!:
"After DSOTM was successful in the early days people would say "Why do you think it is?" People continue to ask that. And I'm sure that's the reason [expressing sincere feeling in songs]. And if you ask Rick I'm sure he'll still tell you he has no idea. Because he can't allow the fact that it might be something to do with what the record is about. But I think it is. DSOTM is quite compelling musically and it's got some terrific music on it, to which Rick contributed greatly, I have to say. But in a way I think the shape of the thing and also the sound of the music and what it is actually springs ... the wellspring is the expression of the emotion which is actually in the lyric. There's something - and maybe I learned this from Syd - about "Breathe breathe in the air, don't be afraid to care, leave but don't leave me..." which is so simplistic and sort of purile that it would be very easy to write it down on a piece of paper and then immediately crumple it up and throw it in the bin because you'll be laughed at! And maybe I learned it from Syd that you don't throw this stuff in the bin, you keep it. And that almost childish expression of feeling is the important bit and all the embellishment that goes on around it is secondary to that. To the "this is how I feel now.". However laughable it may seem."
