I didn't get to say happy 90th birthday to Dino on the 7th, but I'm now getting around to it. I can't add to anything I said about the man when I made a post for him last year on his birthday, so I'll just repeat myself. I'm not gonna be serious and try to explain why I enjoy the man so much because I honestly just can't be serious about Dean, and I thank God for that. I just enjoy him, and I'm not sure I could explain why if I wanted to, anyway. There's a charm and attractiveness about him that is something you can't nail down, you just like it and enjoy it and don't think about why because you don't have to. Dean wouldn't. Dean's a real man's man, a real good man, and you don't have to question him or his personality, you just get to enjoy it--and that's very rare, for an entertainer or anyone else.
I'll just say he makes life fun, enjoyable, entertaining, and happier by just being him and having done all the great stuff he did. I have a few opinions on why he's been in my life since I was born, but, regardless the reason, I'm just glad I honestly like the guy. Here's an entertainer that my grandfather liked that I've been lucky enough to have the taste to like. There has to be a reason why this "odd" taste of mine was given to me, and I feel blessed to have it. I'm just very grateful for that and for Dino being Dino.
Though our lives co-existed for a time, I wish I would have been born in his generation and had gotten the opportunity to pal around with him. He's an honest-to-God man, he's witty, he's talented, he's sweet, and he's good-lookin'. There's nothing to do but enjoy that.
