I am going to tell you about an event in my life that has influenced the way I am today. It was a big shipwreck. It was 50 years ago, when I was a little girl. My mother and me set off for a trip on a motor ship. Our exiting trip was coming to an end when an iceberg emerged from the sea quite unexpectedly at dawn. Our motor ship bumped into that iceberg. The captain died from the heart attack at that moment. I plucked up all my courage and got control over our ship. I had not time to think through. I was determined not to put up with such a difficult situation. The situation might be reversed if helicopters could arrive in time to help us. All of us were afraid of losing touch with the lend. And turned to me for guidance. It was not to be, but it was. Thanks to the goodwill of God the captain regained consciousness and took precautions about the safety of the ship. We couldn’t even presume that the helicopters would come so fast. The rescuers saved our lives.
It was so important for me because I was able to sort out that problem. That even influenced me for the better and I can say that I am glad that it was, and is not the exaggeration. If I hadn’t had that event I wouldn’t be so strong. And of course my life would be different. I would take everything for granted and my character wouldn’t be the same. I wish it were not only a dream I had a weak ago.
