Junior at Ouran High School, and vice-President of the host club (often referred to as "Mother" by other members). Very smart and calculating, he attracts customers with his "calm and cool" demeanor. His family seems to supply the school's medical staff and security (via its 100-member private police force). Although Tamaki is the official leader of the club, Kyoya can easily manipulate him to do what he wants.

He keeps track of various information about the students at Ouran Academy and is even in contact with Haruhi's father, who told him about Haruhi's popularity with boys in middle school and even gave him some of her pictures. He's very crafty in managing money. During some of the Ouran Host Club's escapades, he'll usually go along with the more eccentric character's antics because it could be 'interesting'. He not only provides Host Club merchandise for the customers, but also keeps Haruhi in debt by finding ways to add to it and using money from her auctioned belongings and pictures to pay for various things.
