Whoever said pop was dead, eh? Certainly not fans of McFly, who have just released their 12th single after bursting on to the rock pop scene in 2004.

We chatted to Tom, Danny, Harry and Dougie (well, tried to get a word in) about who has the sexiest bum, being stalked and whether their 'greatest hits' tour spells theend for the band….

We're chatting about rear ends on the show today, so, which one of you has the sexiest bum?
Tom: Hmmm, well Harry's got the hairiest
Danny: I've probably got the sexiest bum.
Harry: Urgh, no. Your bum's horrible. It's got too many opinions.

We're also chatting about wrinkles – do you have any crushes on older women?
Tom: I used to fancy Sharon Osbourne but I got over it. It was a teenage fantasy and I'm not a teenager anymore, I'm 21.
Danny: I like Rachel Hunter, she's quite sexy.

Your new single Baby's Coming Back / Transylvania is from your Motion in the Ocean album. That's an odd name…
Harry: It came from this guy in America who had a small ( points to his crotch) and he said, 'It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion in the ocean that counts'. That's where it came from.  

You're planning a greatest hits tour aren't you?
Harry: I don't want it to be called the 'greatest hits' tour; it should just be 'best songs so far'
Tom: Yeah, it is going to be called whatever we call our album (of previous singles) but we haven't got a name for that yet.

Some people might think a greatest hits tour means the end of McFly…?
Tom: No, no that's rubbish. We're writing out fourth studio album now and that'll be out a year from now probably.

Four albums, that's pretty impressive - especially when some people reckon pop's dead…

Tom: If anything, I think pop's turning around and come back. If you look at Take That. Their latest album's the biggest selling album they've ever had and there's people like Natasha Beddingfield and Mika.

You've got lots of loyal fans haven't you – have you had any weird experiences?
Danny: Kind of stalking really. We get followed all the time on the tour bus.
Dougie: At the end of a show when we're driving back we'll have cars following us – one in front, another at the back and either side and they try to get us to stop. They work with a team.

It must get annoying…
Harry: I went out for a friend's birthday in the pub– we'd been at a signing all day and met about 2,000 people – five minutes in someone asks for a photo. I was like, 'yeah, sure' but.... (sighs). They're the worst inventions in the world - phones on cameras.
Dougie: Er, phones on cameras or cameras on phone? (laughs)

Do you get sent many weird things from fans?
Tom: We get loads. I got sent a tin of baked beans, toast and eggs and stuff. I've no idea why.

What would you be doing if you weren't in a band?
Dougie: Gynaecologist, definitely.

Right….
Tom: Oh, God. Hmmm, I don't know. A lollipop man…? Or maybe an artist, or a pilot – I'd like to do that sometime. Or, maybe a writer – yeah, a screen writer.
Harry: (Not a moments hesitation) A pirate!
