Lestat

 ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; SEEK, AND YOU

   CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU
   IN CHRIST JESUS.   Amen.  ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18 )

CHILDREN'S CHILDREN ARE THE CROWN TO THE AGED,
  AND PARENTS ARE THE PRIDE OF THEIR CHILDREN.
                                   ( PROVERBS 17:6 *NKJV )

       Grandchildren are indeed the crown to their grandparents,
   and Jesus loves little children as well, for they believe in
   those they trust with all their hearts.  They have an open mind
   and are eager to learn and believe all that they can.  Jesus
   even told us that we adults should believe in Him with the
   same childlike faith.( See MARK 10:13-15 )

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful...

PRAYING FOR GUIDANCE

“Then he prayed, "O LORD, God of my master Abraham, give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.” –
Genesis 24:12

Stephen Oldford was the born son of missionaries in Zambia in 1918. He committed his life to Christ and witnessed
first-hand the transforming power of God and His Word.
He spent his college years in the United Kingdom. There he decided he wanted to pursue a course in engineering and he
received the highest marks in college.
His plan was to become successful, to have leisure, to accumulate the nice things money could buy, and with his wealth
he could help the missionaries and the Word of God on the side. It seemed like a splendid plan to him, but
unfortunately it was one he worked out in his own mind.
It was all set, but then he became deathly sick. He went to the doctor and was put to bed. The doctor gravely intoned,
“Young man, in two weeks you will be dead.”
Stephen’s life caved in around him. But a letter came from his missionary father who had no way of knowing his son’s
condition because of the time lag in the mail delivery from overseas. In that letter his dad wrote: “Only one life,
‘Twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
In the stillness of that room God broke through. Stephen bowed his head, and prayed a brief prayer, "Anywhere,
anytime, any cost. Amen."
The Lord healed him and led him to become a pastor, a Christian radio and television pioneer, and an equipper of
preachers and teachers of God’s Word.

Do you look to the Lord for guidance in your life? Today in prayer, ask the Lord for guidance and then prepare to act
where He leads.

“Guide my going in and going forward, lead home my going forth. You are true God and true man, and live for ever and
ever.” - Thomas Aquinas

God’s Word: “guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” –
Psalm 25:5

How to resort to God

Let petitions and praises shape you worries into prayers, letting God
know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness,
everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.

Philippians 4:6 - The Message Translation

I regularly need a word from God. Situations get unbalanced, things go
wrong or progress is halted. When this happens I know if things are to
get sorted out I need to hear from God on how to proceed or on how to
receive His help. I need to approach to my Heavenly Father. I also
realise I need to approach Him with praise. It's in approaching Him with
praise that I get the word or the solution I need!

When my children were young if things hadn't gone well for them over
something they'd often coming looking for me to find comfort or justice.
If their mind was on the frustration or distress of the situation they'd
whine a complaint at me. However, if their mind was on me as father then
they'd present their complaint with a positive tone. Which of those
approaches do you suppose got the best response from me? It was the
positive approach, of course! Similarly, if you want to get the best
response from God the Father approach Him positively with praise!

God will respond to your praises. It shows your trusting dependency on
Him. God expects you to come to Him in the confidence that as a loving
father He will sort things out. To turn to God means to turn away from
your desperation and distress. You turn to see the One who can sort it
all out. Turning to God is to change your outlook. As your outlook
changes then your countenance and verbal expression will change to match
it!

"FOR WHAT I DO IS NOT THE GOOD I WANT TO DO; NO,
THE EVIL I DO NOT WANT TO DO--THIS I KEEP DOING.
WHAT A WRETCHED MAN I AM! WHO WILL RESCUE
ME FROM THIS BODY OF DEATH?"
( ROMANS 7:19 & 24 *NIV )


"COME NOW, LET US REASON
TOGETHER," SAYS THE LORD. "THOUGH YOUR SINS
ARE LIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE WHITE AS SNOW;
THOUGH THEY ARE RED AS CRIMSON, THEY SHALL
BE LIKE WOOL." ( ISAIAH 1:18 )

FROM THE FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL
RECEIVED ONE BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER.
( JOHN 1:16 *NIV )


Now I know that when things disappoint us, we are sad and
often depressed. However it is written that we should; BE
JOYFUL ALWAYS; PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN
ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU
IN JESUS CHRIST. ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 )

Therefore Jacob, never feel that God doesn't hear your prayers
because a prayer isn't answered, or something goes wrong in
your life. For your Heavenly Father always knows what is best
for you, and; HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So my friend, remember to always; GIVE THANKS TO THE
LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE
NATIONS WHAT HE HAS DONE for you!
( 1 CHRONICLES 16:8 )

In closing; MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE
FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL,
now and always! Amen! ( 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 )

FOR THEN IT SHALL BE SAID; OUR MOUTHS WERE
FILLED WITH LAUGHTER, AND OUR TONGUES WITH
SONGS OF JOY. THEN IT WAS SAID AMONG THE
NATIONS, "THE LORD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS FOR
THEM."
