G-Unit (то есть Gorilla Unit, а не Guerilla или Gangsta Unit, как многие думают) – это рэп-группа, в которую входят 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, и Young Buck. Стиль группы довольно разнообразен, от жёстких уличных тем до клубных записей, от любовных песенок до суровых рассказов о продаже наркоты. В самом начале группа состояла из троих рэпперов; Young Buck присоединился к группе, после того как Tony Yayo был арестован за незаконное владение оружием. Tony Yayo снова присоединился к группе, сразу же после того, как был освобождён. Частью ЛЭЙБЛА G Unit когда-то был и рэппер Game, но он не нашел общего языка с членами группы. R & B певица Olivia [которую все знают, как первую леди G-Unit] и Spider Loc – НЕ ЧЛЕНЫ группы G-Unit, а часть ЛЭЙБЛА G-Unit Records.

В самом начале команда пробивала себе путь на андеграундной микстэйп сцене, поучаствовав на несметном количество миксов таких ди-джеев, как DJ Kay Slay, DJ Clue и других. У них так же есть собственный DJ, DJ Whoo Kid, который выпустил вместе с группой уже 12 (на данный момент) микстэйпов серии G Unit Radio, и продожает их выпускать.

После бешеного успеха дебютника 50 Cent'а Get Rich Or Die Tryin', Interscope разрешили 50 Cent`у открыть под их крышей свой собственный лэйбл, так же как и Eminem`у. В 2003-м году оффициально открылась рекорд-компания G-Unit Records. Возглавили лэйбл 50 Cent и Sha Money XL, и сразу подписали Lloyd Banks`а (Christopher Lloyd), Tony Yayo (Marvin Bernard) и Young Buck`а (David Danell Brown). В 2004-м году, 50 Cent вместе с Dr. Dre подписал на лэйбл молодого рэппера The Game (Jayceon Taylor), но вскоре G Unit отказались от него. В 2005-м году к числу артистов G-Unit Records, присоединилась R & B певица Olivia, DJ Whoo Kid, и рэппер с West Coast`а Spider Loc.

В ноябре 2003-го года, группа выпустила свой дебютный альбом Beg for Mercy, который продал более 2-х миллионов копий. Он дебютировал на 2-м месте чарта Billboard Top 200. После успеха этого альбома Reebok выпустили линии кроссовок G-Unit.

Не так давно, 50 Cent выгнал Game`а с G-Unit Records. Для этого было много причин, но главная причина, которую назвал 50 Cent – это то, что The Game не оценил большого вклада 50 Cent`а в дебютный альбом The Game'а, The Documentary. Во время радио-интервью «Hot 97's FunkMaster Flex» в New York`е, 1 марта, 2005 года, 50 Cent в прямом эфире сообщил, что Гейм теперь не член G Unit Records, а в этот же момент на улице шайка The Game'а палили из пушек, желая добраться до Полтинника. В процессе перестрелки был подстрелен чел из Compton`а, в него всадил пулю один из членов группировки 50 Cent'а.

Вскоре, 9 марта, 2005, биф был остановлен, 50 и Гейм встретились на пресс-конференции и замяли все эти дела. Как оказалось, ненадолго. Сейчас G Unit и Game жёстко бифуют.

Недавно 50 Cent подписал на свой лэйбл две великие хардкор-группы – Mobb Depp и M.O.P., так что G Unit не стоят на месте. Сложно писать их биографию, ведь у этой шумной банды каждый день что-то новое: новый биф, или новая линия одежды, новый подписанный артист, или новый альбом. Как говорит Полтинник: G-g-g-g-g-g-g-Unit!..

SHYNE	Shyne написал о 50CENT в песне «For the Record». Потом на HOT 97 на шоу «Funkmaste Flex» появились претензии Полтиника. 50 Cent сказал «Я слышал Ирв пытался петь с Shyne, и после этого я его не уважаю.». У Shyne'а были притензии к Полтосу когда 50 записывал песни против Shyne в G-UNIT Records. Shyne сказал что даже после того как 50 записал сингл против него, он хочет помирится с 50.
CADILLAC TAH	У Cadillac Tah и 50 Cent был биф. Black Child один из учасников Murder INC студии и по слухам он один из тех кто стрелял в Полтоса перед домом его бабушки, и по слухам один из тех кто избил Полтиника в клубе, это все объясняет. С тех пор Black Child записал несколько диссов на 50, «There a snitch in the club» и «You the wanksta» в обоих песнях Black говорит о растреле Полтоса, как он его избивает и другие подобные вещи, «Я сделал много и сделаю ещё больше перед тем как я умру, у меня нет времени которое прошло даром, стрелять этому нигге в лицо».
JA RULE	Биф 50 Cent и Ja Rule длится уже нескольких лет. Вы наверное слышали об их мелких ссорах. Сначала 50 Cent избил Ja Rule, а затем Ja Rule со своимы друзьями избил 50 и его друзей. После этого 50 в гневе, записал дисс «Your life is on the line» где 50 иммитирует Джа Рулла «Murdaaaaa» со словами «выметайся из клуба». Сейчас 50 Cent работает с Shady/Altermath Records. У Ja Rule и Irv Gotti появились проблемы с Eminem и Dr.Dre. Во вторник, 19 ноября, Джа Рулл и Ирв Готти были специально приглашэнны на утренее шоу Star'a и Buckwild’a на Hot 97 NYC. Джа Рулл кричал «Гей гей гей гей юнит» изображая Полтоса когда тот кричал «г-г-г-г-юнит» в начале фристайла «Till I collapse» (фристайл вошел в саундтрек к фильму 8 Mile, CD2). Затем Джа Рулл угрожал Эминэму и Дрэ, он сказал что если они помогут 50 записать дисс на Рулла или Murder Inc, тогда Джа Рулл начнет мстить Эминэму и Дрэ.
IRV GOTTI	Ирв Готти является исполнитеольным директором Murder INC Records и он долгое время дружит с Джа Руллом.
