В свои 19 лет Бритни нравится быть девчонкой. Как и все, она любит яркие цвета, шипучие напитки, любит ходить по магазинам, читать любовные романы, проводить дни на пляже. Энергичная и жизнерадостная, веселая и очаровательная девушка из Кентвуда, штат Луизиана (население всего 1200 чел.!) покорила весь музыкальный мир неповторимой коллекцией хитов из своего дебютного альбома, выпущенного компанией Jive Records.

Дебютный альбом, продюсерами которого были Эрик Фостер Уайт (известный по работе с Уитни Хьюстон) и Макс Мартин (BackStreet Boys, Ace Of Base), в полной мере показывает музыкальное любопытство Бритни, ее желание меняться и поиски своего стиля. От нежной мелодии "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart" к заводной песне в стиле "фанк" "Baby One More Time", от зажигательного регги "Soda Pop" к задушевной лирике в "You Got It All"...
